I get "scratchy" engine sound and some other anomalies in GPL after
installing Direct X 7.0.  I was using Direct X 6.1 before.  The difference
is subtle but clear enough to be annoying.  I have Diamond MX300 with 1.02
drivers, Hercules Thriller, Voodoo 2 and Windows 98.
