Force Feedback Wheel Experience

I'm looking for a good force feedback wheel.  Looking for people who own or
have used the Act Labs Force RS, Logitech Wingman Formula Force or
Thrustmaster Formula Force GT Racing System who might share their
experience - likes, dislikes, etc.  Very tough finding much on the 'Net.

Thanks!

I would also like to hear from anyone who has used the Thrustmaster Formula
Force GT. There are a pile of them sat in PC world saying 'buy me!', but I
would like some opinions on it first.

Force Feedback Wheel Experience

rrevved is right, force-1 is the place for info on the new FF stuff, with a lot
of help available on the message board.

I have the Logitech myself, I'm growing fonder of it every day. My initial
impression was of a beautifully engineered wheel, easy to use software and
really bad pedals. After three  weeks of use, and a change to stiffer springs
in the pedals, I'm much happier. My times in GPL are dropping and that makes me
happier still.

I have not tried F1RS with the new pedal springs yet. I found it undriveable
with the old ones. The throttle and brake seem to be digital on/off switches,
there seems to be no way to modulate the control imputs. Does anyone else
experience this? Is there a fix? I've adjusted the throttle/brake sensitivity
sliders way down in the controls menu and adjusted the same in the wheel
software. I've run out of adjustment...

My impression of Force Feedback depends on the sim...F1RS feels pretty good
except I hate the jolt you get through the wheel when shifting. I do like the
effects going over the rumble strips and curbs, and the kickback through the
wheel when spinning, but after a while it all seems so canned

Viper Racing is tamer than I expected with this wheel. I have read that VR's FF
effects work better on the Microsoft FF wheel, I haven't tried it. You feel
pretty good kickback through the wheel when cornering though.

I only have the CMR demo, and some others have complained of the lack of
effects in the game, I like it, and will buy the retail version soon. The
steering gets light as you go over jumps, you feel the road surface changes,
it'll be fun to play with.
