Sierra/Papy? Racing on TEN was a dream, now its a nightmare!
Oh, well looks like I'll have to find another game to play
What a disappointment

It has very serious warping problems, They need a patch or bring back TEN or
a similar system, No rankings is not cool either

i did some online racin last night and i found that where the host of the
race had a high bandwidth , i saw as many as 17 drivers in one race i did
without alot of warp(no more than ten or gpl) i am on mindspring dial-up,and
usually had a blue connection on ten. If cable or another high bandwidth isp
is available, take the money you are saving from Ten and get a High
bandwidth provider and it will solve your warp, that would be my guess.
As far as ranking goes it was nice to have stats, but if you can't catch
and pass someone else, it don't matter what he is ranked if he is faster
than you, the frequent racer will know who is fast and who is not, league
racing is also a measure of a drivers skills.
Happy Motoring !!

Hmm not really, in fact it's the worse implementation of prediction code I
have ever seen. You see when your only 2-3cars on a track (only takes that
to get heavy warping, not 20+cars like on the NROS/GPL), the cars will
suddenly stop on a stretch without warning. That's their prediction code.
Instead of continuing at a smooth pace, when a car doesn't synchronize with
the environment it will slow down. Not slow down but actually "brake" in
less than a second. When it gets back in synchro it will go back to speed
from 30-180mph in less than a second.
So let's say your 0.5seconds behind the leader. The leader warps, he slows
down in your face in less than a second. You have simply no reaction time,
and you get front damage. He doesn't of course, since he warped and never
really braked in front of you. Now a second of two after you see the car
get back to synchro and gain all the distance the prediction code lost by
slowing down. So you will see the leader go to full speed at Warp speed
almost, a very poor effect that makes any real racing worse than N2 on Kali.
Sorry it's not a Ubi bashing, just a fact of their poor Game service
implementation.

"People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realise
how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world."
Of course your connection makes a huge difference. Yesterday I played
an online game hosted by a cable modem without any warping and in a
chat, drivers were from New York, Georgia, Alberta, California,
Florida, and Michigan.
Of course playing online is more difficult with those using dial-up
modems, compared to other using high bandwidth connections. Maybe you
should call you local cable company or telephone company and see if
they support high bandwidth connections.
The rankings is a concern, but there are many good offline players who
begin playing online and are very competitive and should have access
to races, without spending so much time wading through rookie races to
gain ranking points.

FACT: The majority of cable and dsl service are only available to a select
few, hell were Im at we dont even have cable tv as a service.
The cable and phone industries are monopolys so they do what they please
which is to give as few people as possible access to the services or
everyone would have high speed connections.
