Jim,
I was courous as to how the replay will be applied to the "historical"
sim you guys are presently working on. Is it possible to create a replay
network, where you can place your own cameras? Or maybe even take
the "pivot" axis out of the replay. i.e. the camera sticking the car
in frame at all times and not wandering is kinda "unrealistic"
The replay is a very important feature dont you think? If it
wouldnt be hard to let the camera "wonder a little and zoom in from time
to time on the drivers helmet would be alot more realistic as in real
television coverage.
I guess in the long run it always depends on release pressure.
Just a suggestion. Would anyone else like to see this feature?

That is a good idea. I would like to see that in GPL and maybe even SODA
Off-Road Racing.

Not particularly.
The replay feature(s) of any sim should always be secondary to the
simulation itself.
Imagine the flak that a developer/publisher would cop if the replay
facility sported a plethora of features at the expense of the actual
gameplay.
I would much rather see time and money spent on the gameplay, thank you
very much!

I would like to be able to place my cameras.  Be a neat feature.  Limit
the number of cameras and only allow the changes to be made before a
race, before you actually race.  Like show a picture and you place 8
cameras around the track.  Take a look at the shot.  NO CARS Just
TRACK.  Would really be cool.  Anybody ever play that Disney game Stunt
Island.  Very cool.
Just my thoughts,

I missed the first part of this thread, so my comment may be out of place.  I *like* a good replay feature.  I can use it to try to learn where my mistakes are.  The easier that is to do, the better.
