Is it possible to use both time and speed... I mean.... I have no idea
how fast I'm running unless I change from speed to time and even then,
if I haven't "bested" my time.... it won't show so I have to switch
the option all the time.

Is it possible.... better yet.. feasible with a patch.

Thanks for your time!

Maybe, but I honestly don't understand what you are asking about (I
gather it relates to the speed vs time selection in reporting laps,
but beyond that, I'm lost as to what you want...)

Jim, sorry I didn't make myself clearer.. Yes, your reasoning above is
exactly what I'm talking about.  It's difficult to gage what a 22.423
is in speed... It really is just getting used to it, but if I'm
running 24.323 at a track, then I run a 24.121.. I'm confused on how
much faster of a lap I just turned.  In Nascar, they give you both
time and speed.  I was wondering why both couldn't be implimented as a
given... like requiring full 22 gallons to qualify and race.

Thanks for replying so promptly.  Being on the newgroup answering
numerous questions can't be all fun... I appreciate it!

It sounds as though he wants a toggle switch (that is active during a
race) to change the display between lap times and lap speeds.
Currently the only way to do it is to exit a session and changing it in
the options screen.

Hi! What I do, is to get the speed in the F1 screen and have my spotter
tell me the time with the Alt-O switch. Although he tells me only the
times to the hundreds (like 24.32) and sometimes I understand an
8 for a 6  in the tenth department, I find this quite good to compare
lap times with lap speeds!

Hope this helps

Success!  This combo works fine for me too.

I'd like to have the ability to see both simultaneously if possible.

Hmmm....I reasoned that that would be the best option, but when I tried it
(F1 with "O" for spotter times), it wouldn't work.  Wwhen I use that combo,
the spotter doesn't say anything...can run many laps with only "O", and get
his voice every time (though, honestly, I do wish he was a _little_ easier to
understand), then switch on "F1", and no more spotter, switch off "F1", and

accomplish that, maybe I was doing something wrong...I'll go back and check
again...
Anyone else either have success or failure with this combo?
