ICR2 opponent pit strategy

Fellow drivers:

Does anyone know when the opponents in ICR2 pit? That is, we
currently run races at 20% the real length. This means that we
can, on most tracks, run the entire race on a single tank of
fuel. But, I hate to race with 40 gal of fuel in the car. My
question is, do the opponents in ICR2 always take a full tank of
fuel with them at race time? I would hate to have to pit for
fuel during a race when the people im racing against dont have
to.

Thanks for any info. Email answers are greatly appreciated.

If you look at the track.txt file for a particular track, you will find a line
that says SPDWY 0 29 31 (or some other particular values). The first number is
the type of wing used on the track (0 = road course or short oval, 1 = super
speedway), the other 2 numbers are the pit window. In the example I've given
above (which happens to be from Detroit) the AIs will begin to pit on lap 29,
and the last will pit on lap 31.

You can change these numbers to suit your own taste, but remember to adjust
them back if you plan to run a full-distance race, or if you compete in an
on-line series. Best plan is to back this file up before you mess with it.

Hope this helps!
