It is a truly magnificent bit of kit. Give it 10 years, it'll be
a couple of hundred bucks mass marketed. ;)
Cheers,
Rod.
Let's face it, that kit's only ever going to sell to businesses,
rich folk with plenty of spares rooms, or single guys with high
ceilings. Can you imagine sneaking that past a wife? No chance!
I bet it'll need regular maintenance and plenty of spares as well..
especially the way I drive :-)

Buy an 80's 911 SC and join PCA - $12-$15K
Each day at the track (3-4 30 min sessions) is around $165.00
Motel, food, etc. add another $100
Gas - $50 per day
Add it up..
Oh, and then add in $5K per year minimum for 10-20 track days of
maintenace/parts, $500 for insurance, etc. etc. etc...
Now you have a starting point!

Who said anything about becoming a proper race driver? I just asked how
many laps around a track you could get for that kind of money. If you
choose the Richard Petty Driving Experience for instance, prices for
rookie start at $379. Divide that into 20,000 and that's over 50 goes
driving a NASCAR racecar.

$400 to turn left a few times? I don't think so.

Hey, i don't think the stupid thing is worth $20K either! Just pointed
out a way to actually drive your own real car, on the track, for LESS
money. To me anything else is nothing more memorable than a roller
coaster ride.

Guess I better go re-read. Hehe.
