No, don't. That site's totally depressing. I'll never be able to
afford or justify that kind of kit, so it's best that I don't watch
the video clips... over and over again until tears trickle down my
cheeks and form puddles at my feet deep enough to make my toes
wrinkly.

It is a truly magnificent bit of kit. Give it 10 years, it'll be
a couple of hundred bucks mass marketed. ;)

Cheers,
Rod.

In your dreams maybe :-)

Let's face it, that kit's only ever going to sell to businesses,
rich folk with plenty of spares rooms, or single guys with high
ceilings. Can you imagine sneaking that past a wife? No chance!

I bet it'll need regular maintenance and plenty of spares as well..
especially the way I drive :-)

You know how you have "first car/motorcycle I'd buy if I won the
lottery", that thing moved to #1 ;).

$20,000 starting price?  Wow!!  How many laps around a racetrack in a
real race car could I get for that kind of money?

Lerts see..

Buy an 80's 911 SC and join PCA - $12-$15K
Each day at the track (3-4 30 min sessions) is around $165.00
Motel, food, etc. add another $100
Gas - $50 per day

Add it up..

Oh, and then add in $5K per year minimum for 10-20 track days of
maintenace/parts, $500 for insurance, etc. etc. etc...

Now you have a starting point!
8-)

Who said anything about becoming a proper race driver?  I just asked how
many laps around a track you could get for that kind of money.  If you
choose the Richard Petty Driving Experience for instance, prices for
rookie start at $379.  Divide that into 20,000 and that's over 50 goes
driving a NASCAR racecar.

Triple it for actual racing!!

$400 to turn left a few times? I don't think so.

Really?  I think driving around at up to 140+ mph in a 600bhp NASCAR
racecar would be a bit more memorable than sitting in that 20,000 thing
for a whole week.

Turn left.... wake up, time to turn left again... LOL

Hey, i don't think the stupid thing is worth $20K either! Just pointed
out a way to actually drive your own real car, on the track, for LESS
money. To me anything else is nothing more memorable than a roller
coaster ride.

Whoops, I thought you were suggesting it was going to be more expensive
to drive your own real car.  My apologies.

Guess I better go re-read.  Hehe.
