CH Pedals

by Bradd » Fri, 11 May 2001 11:17:06

Received them today from Outpost.com great service ordered yesterday and
arrived this afternoon.

The only problem is I cannot get Win98, or Windows 2000 to recognise the
pedals on my Gameport.

I have followed the instructions on the CH Products site and the pamplet
with no success.  Each time I add the device to game controllers it shows
not connected.

On Windows 2000 Pro (SB Live Plat)
For Car controller mode
I click add
Click Rudder - Click Custom
Joystick
3 axis - 4 button and click rudder
Click OK It shows up as not connected ?????

I have tried the pedals on 3 PCs

PC1 - Win2k server - SB Live Plat
PC2 - Win98 SE - SB Live Plat
PC3 - Win2k Pro - SB Live Value

On all PCs I can verify that the gameport is working by connecting a
Microsoft Gamepad - it works fully.

To make matters worse if I connect the Microsoft Gamepad to the Y cable from
the CH Pedals (When that is connected) the Gamepad works BUT the CH Pedals
are not connected.   --- HELP !

However if I click Add and Select 2 axis 2 button on one gameport one it
finds the device on a Y gameport ?? and shows 2 devices connected.  Very
odd.

I am totally lost not according to instructions.  I am wondering if the
wiring is screwed up ?

Thask for any help

CH Pedals

I Think I fixed it but is this normal ??

If I leave my MSFT Gamepad connected on the Y joystick cable and add the CH
Pedals as a 3 axis controller IT WORKS !  However why do I need to leave the
Gamepad connected to the Y Cable ?

Is this everyone else's experience ?

Thanks

Brad

Yep, I also connected an old joystick on my CH pedals to make it work.
There -is- a way to calibrate them without using an old joystick, it
was posted here some time ago, but I can't remember how..

You need to download a registry file from http://www.stickworks.com to use
the pedals without a joystick.
