 I am planning to upgrade my mainboard and CPU within the next week or so.
I am currently running a Cyrix P-166+ with a Intergraph I3d100 card. The
games I run mostly are N2, Indycar2, SODA, and GP2. Which is the better
CPU, the AMD K6-233, or the Intel Pentium 2 233MMX. I realize that the K-6
is less expensive, but I have heard that it had had "floating point
problems" and lacks the speed of the P2. I plan on adding another 32 meg of
RAM which will bring me to 64 meg.

Any Pentium, especially the P2's, has much more floating point speed than
anyone else's chip, and for games, that makes a big difference.  With what
they are selling P2's for right now, why get anything else?

I've got a PII 266 and I wouldn't use anything else (except a 300 or
higher). I've used in the past Cyrix and AMD and they just don't run games
as well. My PII makes things absolutely FLY. I love it.
