Nascar 2 Demo -- my 2 cents

Well, I know a lot of people are dissing the N2 Demo as being not a big
enough improvement over N1, but I happen to think it's a great leap
forward.

1) The graphics are awesome -- they make N1's graphics look rather
cartoonish (and I remember how great I thought those graphics were when
it came out).

2) I love the spotter -- best innovation to come along in racing sims in
awhile.  By getting important information auditorally, that allows you to
focus more of your attention on the road.  Most accidents are caused by
being distracted visually (in real life as well as sims).  Plus, it's
exciting to hear the spotter say "You're the man! One lap left. Go Go
Go".  Ok, so that part might get old after awhile :)

You know I was thinking about how popular the modularity of the carset
was allowing Tony Johns and others to create up to date carsets and I
thought how interesting it would be to have the spotter voices be as
modular.  I.e. you could record your own spotter messages into specified
wav filenames.  Just a thought.
