GPL Multiplayer-Online wont work???

by Glen Strou » Sun, 26 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Cannot get Gpl to work in multiplayer mode within the game, not even online
with Vroc or Winroc. Using latest version of Gpl 1.2.0.1, converted all the
available tracks, tried every core.ini setting from many posts in this
newsgroup as well as others. When I select a server the game starts to load
then kicks me back to the server select screen. I am using a cable modem
 phone dialup worked fine) and notice that when I select a server the lights
start flashing on the modem, the game starts to load and thats it. I know my
IP is correct, its listed in the server.ini in the game directory. I have
tried alternate lookup and all the rest but nothing seems to work. Have even
reinstalled 3 times but still no luck. Pings normally under 100 so connect
speed is not an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

alternate_ip_addr_lookup = 1  ; Find IP addresses another way

Hope this helps
