Voodoo 3 display settings for GPL

Just got a voodoo 3, and was wondering if anyone had found if changing
the visual quality setting (and the other setting which I've forgotten!)
from Automatic (the default) to one of the other choices actually has
any effect on GPL, frame rates or looks.  These settings are in the
glide section of the display settings in Windoze.  Just wondered.....

My voodoo 3 is ***ed up in GPL. Thje background of the game show so funky pattern. let me know if you have the same problem

  Cossie, you have the demo still, wait til you get the full version and
apply the v1.2 patch.  Then all will be clear.
