They will be out before x-mas definatly!! They would lose way to
much profit otherwise. They also just make-up date to get us e***d. If
they wait after x-mas they'll get beat by other racing "games" that are
qucker to make than "sims".

We KNOW nascar2 will be out by xmas..they havent missed a deadline yet
Gp2..well...we all know how well they have met ALL their deadlines..

Hey, it's the NASCAR guy again. How you doing? I know that you're
determined to badmouth GP2 whatever I say, so I'm not going to waste my
time.

My only recourse would be to badmouth Papyrus products, and this I
refuse to do because they also make great sims, and the ones they have
in the pipeline will live up to that. I like variety in my racing, you
don't - where's the problem?

John, I have never badmouthed GP2! I'm waiting like everyone else with baited breath, but
decided long ago, when its here, its here! Instead of bemoaning the fact, I continue on playing
Nascar which up till this point, is the best racing sim available, in my humble opinion. I may be
more fortunate than most of you because, I was beta testing Hawaii for the past 7 months and had
the option of using many new features that non-beta people hadn't been able to, but for my money
its "the one". Indy Car 1 was great but I liked F1GP better and it had the most play-time till
Nascar came out! Before that it was INDY 500! Before that it was Stunt Car Racer(wonder who wrote
this gem!) :-) Before that it was Test Drive 2 and then Test Drive! I won't bother naming my Apple
favs.
In case you are wondering I have been a Geoff Crammond fan for a long time! When, I used to
show my PC friends my 2 Amigas serial linked together and racing with Stunt Track racer, they were
dumbstruck, when I got F1GP, they wanted an Amiga in the worst way! When,F1GP came out better on
the PC I bought one! This guy is in a League by himself! Thats why it doesn't upset me to wait for
the finished product.

You, indirectly were bad mouthing Papyrus! You stated that their follow ups on patches were
not up to your standards. Yes, they have been slow in coming but they have undertaken a massive
number of projects where before they only had a few on the go. If they are at fault this is the
problem, manpower, not the fact they are deaf to yours or my requests. The bugs you have mentioned
in Indy Car 2, were also present in Nascar to a lesser extent. It took awhile but they have figured
them out and corrected them in Nascar(Hawaii ver) so they do know what is required to fix them. But
they are also doing a WIN95 version of INDY CAR 2, so maybe it makes sense to correct everything in
a one shot deal rather than doing it piecemeal. I personally don't play the Indy Car 2 very much,
but I do know the bugs are there and are annoying.
I would much rather have a slightly imperfect game, than none at all! And that is my point!
Sorry, I have been so long winded in getting to it!
The point, you made about Nascar 2 not having the bugs corrected till the summer of 97, may
not be a justified point anymore! I think that one thing that Papyrus has learned is that you can
never have enough beta testers! And that just maybe Nascar 2 will have less flaws then any of their
previous games as a result of this massive undertaking of Hawaii! Papyrus has prided themselves on
the fact they can deliver when promissed, yes, albeit a few glitches but we had a new and better
product as a result of their work. Not to say that the customers should be doing the beta testing
after purchasing the product as that is not right either!
The previous messages were not intented to bad mouth you, as you have posted many that I
have enjoyed reading. So, I was bad and baited you a little! :-)
These opinions are my own and no way reflect anyone else's, although it would ne nice if
Papyrus would let me beta Nascar 2 but Mike probably won't let me!

No problem Pete, my point was simply that I would rather wait and get a
"perfect" game, than have one rushed out for Christmas and rendered
useless by bugs (and lets face it, ICR2 did make Christmas, and the
"traction bug" and "yellow flag bug" do pretty much mug the gameplay
totally).

Looking forward to GP2 _AND_ NASCAR2 - not as much as a UK version of
Hawaii though.... :)

Hopefully, all software companies in the future will allow more of us discrimating end
users to correct them in the errors of their ways. :-)

Thanks :) Just ask the guys I was racing against! Now we beseech you to
do the honourable thing and put a server in the UK (did I tell you how
nice Edinburgh is? And the beer is fabulous....!). From the second race
below, there were 24 guys from CompuServe's NCAR league, and I think
more than half were from Europe. Big day for the 'phone companies!

I'd like to log-on and check my rating, but it would cost too much! I
only did three races, but I did not bad considering I'm an ICR2 man :-

Qual Race
2 2 Darlington
24 7 Talladega (I didn't know 2-lap qual at 'Dega!!)
7 6 Sears Point (definitely THE BEST!).

Will I still be ranked "0"? :(
