Modem play screwing up track records on N2???

by Richard Mannin » Thu, 12 Dec 1996 04:00:00

After playing my first modem game of Nascar2 my track records on the tracks
we have run are screwed up!  That is, unless I am just the Ultimate Nascar
2 driver out there!!! It has me down for a track record of 288mph at
Talladega. Something like 215 at Bristol!!!!
Damn I can drive the wheels off these cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas? Help???

Thanks,

Richard

That's an old bug.  It happens in IndyCar II as well.  I once did a lap of
698mph at Michigan after a modem race and my modem partner did Road
America in 14 SECS!!!!!

That's a bug in multiplayer. Copy the RECORDS.TXT file for the offending
track off the N2 CD and be sure to change the file to read/write (ATTRIB -r
RECORDS.TXT).
