Tom,

You might wanna check with a lawyer, but taking you words that were posted
openly and sending them to a company you represent really is not slander or
defimation of charater.  I would say it is informing a company about who is
representing them.

And Tom,  you are an idiot, you and BRD just do not know it yet.

Been gone a few days. Lost the beginning of the thread so I'll post here
for convenience sake to that self inflated "nobody" Pabst.
Who the  "fark" am I?  Somebody who has watched you rewrite yourself  as
an authority on things you had litle if  nothing to do with.  You lie with
the ease of the braggart. Period. Were your musings about  what went on in
R.A.S. or TEN just rememberances of a fond old day then  they perhaps could
be excused on the basis of  looking back on the "good old days".  But you
seek to insert yourself into the past as if you were seminal or, for that
matter some kind of authority in the sim community. You weren't.
You know it.
You weren't around in the R.A.S. during Hawaii.
You weren't on TEN for very long either. Certainly not till the end as you
now pretend. Not even close. During TEN I raced in a league made up of folks
who helped develop  the sim products you  allegedly use.  I assure you that
you weren't involved in any way shape or form with their development.
As for your SCCA comments. Really, no one gave a rats ass. They didn't
inundate you with queries for  advice. On the contrary. Your inability to
beat 13 year olds who had the sim for a week coupled with a complete lack of
interest in your self aggrandizing " I'm a real driver" posts is probably
what drove you off of TEN.  But there's no shame in leaving a place where
you're ignored. Yet, today , as then you build yourself up as some sort of
authority on that part of  the sim racing community.  You  basically spout
stuff that isn't true. Y2K Rick was more a part of the sim community than
you ever were then.
I took you to task on your comments about TEN, as did Ymenard.  I will
continue to do so as you manufacture these tall tales. Nothing more. Just
here to remind you that someone was really there. You just damned well
better hope I don't find that old 2 gig drive of mine with your  retiring
from TEN speech on it.

It was goodbye  to go and " pave the way " to make sim racing better for
us. Your words, your arse.

You weren't  the only vocal  real race car driveron TEN. There are and
were plenty of others during TEN and beyond. You weren't paying attention.
They weren't beating us over the head  with ego inflating tomes like you
were.
So start your inane  " See what I did " post. I'm hoping it'll include
your  track building and programming skills. ;)But in fact, Pabst, you could
build the perfect sim and it still wouldn't erase the fact that you are
arrogant.
" Those who weren't around for history tend to rewrite it". gavel
   Have a wonderful day.

Your most ardent fan,
Gavel

No offense taken Goy... it is one of the more pathetic aspects of our
society.   Oopps, I just burped too hard and my nose hurts.  I think I'll
call my lawyer and sue Pepsi for pain and suffering for not having a warning
label that says drinking their product could cause me to burp.

I'll save you the spiel on how it's related to the 'liberal' and
'politically correct' aspect that ran rapid in the 90s and how everything
that goes wrong in your life is someone else's fault.  Damn Socialists  ;-)

Actually, although I kinda agree with you on the point of a lot of
people tending to blame their problems on others, I believe this problem
is actually the lawyer's and the judicial system's fault....

If you give people the chance to make an easy buck, most people will
take it, especially if you're not actually "steeling" it from an
individual, but taking it from a big ass insurance company or something,
so at some point, some ambulance chasing lawyer sat down and figured out
he could make a ton of money by suing on other people's behalf for some
stupid mistake or something, others saw what he was doing and hey
presto, we have a new business going.....

And people wonder why I don't like lawyers.......isn't there an Eagles
song about this; "We'll kill all the lawyers" or something, can't
remember which song though

Yeah, Goy, it's called Get Over It and it was one of four new songs on the
Hell Freezes Over album from awhile back.  Great stuff.

Yes Goy...   The Eagles "Get over it".   I've posted the lyrics on several
occasions  ;)

You are also correct about the lawyers and judicial system.  There should be
penalties for people who chase settlement dollars in case after case against
companies.   These lawyers drool over class action suits.   The 'plaintiffs'
get $1.50 and the lawyer walks away with $10 million.  I also know people
who think its 'free' money since it comes from the insurance companies.

A couple of solutions, IMHO:

1)  No % of claim payment.  I know they will argue that plaintiffs then
could not afford to hire attorneys, but if that is the case then put an
upper limit on the reward based on hours spent on the case.

2) Higher penalties for those who bring false cases to the courts.  Make
them pay the defendents expenses if the judge determines the case has no
merit as well as fines.

3) "Kill all the lawyers"

;)

"...Ol' Willie was right
Let's kill all the lawyers,
kill 'em tonight..."

from "Get Over It" -- Don Henley

Come to think of it, "Get Over It" is excellent advice, if I may be
allowed to say so, that applies equally to everyone involved in this thread...

I'll probably regret saying this (NAAAaaaahhhhh!), but if all the
collective energy involved in this particular thread could have been
harnessed for useful purposes, RAS could have singlehandedly captured
Bin Laden, cured cancer, and gotten a new brain for George W. Bush so he
didn't have to keep borrowing*** Cheney's...
