CH PRO PEDALS & STEERING

I have the CH Pro Pedals and refuse to give them up
to use a T2. Does the Grand Prix steering wheel work hooked up
to the CH Pedals?  Any other Steering/CH Pedal combination work
better?

I am also using the CH Pro Pedals, and I definitely like the way they
work and feel.  Supposedly the Thrustmaster Grand Prix wheel will work
with them OK, since in "car" mode they use the Joystick 2 X and Y axis'.
I wound up building my own wheel (thanks Walt!) and it works quite
well with the CH pedals.  However, if you want to do anything like
wire up a pit speed limiter, you either have to do some ugly external
wiring or re-wire the Pro pedals internally.  Since I still use the
Pedals for flight sims, I left them alone and went for the ugly external
wiring option.  Also, if you buy or use a Joyswitch, you will find
another gotcha or two with the Pro pedals, due to their wiring.  But
I definitely like the pedals, and would recommend them to anyone.

Have you tried/seen CH Virtual Pilot Pro ?? Seems like a logical
choice.

I have the Virual Pilot Pro steering wheel/flight stick, and the CH
Pedals and they work perfect for NASCAR2 for me, and any flight sim.
Definitely worth the purchase. Hope I have helped you.

It works fine. The pedals plug into the gameport, and the wheel plugs
into the plug on the pedal's cable. The wheel's throttle and brake
normally show up on the X-axis of joystick 2, the same as the pedals.
You can use TM's adapter plug to switch the throttle/brake paddles to Y
on joystick 1. Win95 won't see the wheel unless you use the adapter
plug.

Ah...I have the CH Virtual Pilot (not the Pro) and the CH pedals.
The Virtual Pilot is too twitchy for my taste in Nascar. I built my own
wheel with gear reduction to the Pot. It has two turns lock to lock and
is very drivable on all tracks in Nascar 1 and 2 with steering lock set to
the maximum (N1=30degrees, N2=25 degrees)

But! You won't take my CH Pedals away! I can see no reason to
build my own pedals as the CH Pedals are about as good as I think you
will find or build..
        Just my $0.02,
        Hope it helps someone,
        Ralph

My GP1 and CH Pedals work fine
