THe PARABOLICA (the name of the corner you describe) has always had
a reputation of being a real kicker.
The secret is to go inthere a tad bit slower than you would expect,
but under control and then accelerate on out of it. You can short
shift if need be to continue momentum out of the turn onto the main
straight,
Graham Hull once said that he felt he could just jump out of the car
and start to push it at the beginning of the Parabolica ---- that is
how much his perception was of the lessened speed at entry.
Believe me ------------------- slow down a bit more and make sure
you have the good traction at the entry - perhaps lower the left front
tire pressure a pound or two for a bit more grip ( not too much
though) and once it is on its path and stable and settled in the turn
- start your acceleration for the CURVA GRANDE you will find that
(done correctly) the car will maintain acceleration right on around
the Parabolica and really get a head of steam into the straight
-------- your overall top speed on the straight will increase -------
and times will lower.
works for me ---- anyway
