Off sub AMD 3D now chip with current games.

I am looking to buy an AMD 300  3D now chip in a 100 MHz bus
motherboard. Does anyone have this chip. I have read it is very good and
takes advantage of directX6
with the 3D now. I could have posted this somewhere else I know. But you
people are hard core simmers like myself. Right now I have a 200 MMX
clocked at 233 with a 3D Blaster, 3DFX I and 32 megs of SDRAM. They say
this processer is only 7% slower than a Pentium II of the same speed.

Thanks

I just got an AMD K6-2 300 and FIC VA-503+ MB.  Overall I'm quite pleased.
I play NASCAR2 on TEN and have gotten much better framerates than my P133 I
replaced.  I figured with the money I saved over a Pentium 2 and a new case
(since my case only supports Baby AT MB's),  I can buy a VOODOO2 board to
replace my VOODOO board.  (Plus I'm supporting an underdog!)

I figure with GLIDE games like GPL, the slower FPU in the AMD won't matter
too much (but we will soon see!)  Also, there are countless games being
announced that will have 3DNow! support. Check out
http://ren.tierranet.com/3dnow/  and http://www.coolinfo.com/3dnow/ as two
good starting points for AMD 3DNOW! info.

The only mistake I made is only getting 32MB of RAM.  Definitely go for at
least 64MB.
