What was the temp set at? Alot of fellows have been setting online
races to 40 degrees. I tried one or two of those online races a few years
ago and decided it was not for me. Artificial speed is artificial.

No, it was simulation mode. I remember the track pretty well since it
was the scene of my last online triumph last summer. I observed the
lead guy, who claimed to be 62 yrs old, hitting 218 mph on the
straights. I suspect it's the so-called unrealistic setup bug. If so,
it's a lot worse than I realized.
