It's not worth your time, trust me. I figured you'd be interested in
just seeing a shot of a Holden driving around Bathurst in the rain - I
definitely don't recommend it as both the car and the track are kinda
crap. Bathurst has the same problems every F1C track has - in an
attempt to make the track feel bumpy they create surfaces that end up
feeling like they have potholes in them. I'm guessing it's because
the suspension/tire modelling in the ISI engine is still utter shit.

With Stan Allen plugging away the car shapes, I'll have my AussieV8 !!!

Bah - what nonsense. Simbin have shown that ISI's engine is as good or
better than the current best if you take the time and use the right numbers.

Although a historic touring car sim with Ford Falcons, Ford Galaxies,
Lotus Cortinas, Alfa GTA's, BMW 2000's etc might spark an interest :-)

Seems more like "Tar & Feather Day" from here. ;o)
Elrikk ( Canadian but a US political junkie. )
Simbin's mods have issues too. Druids at Brand's Hatch as one of many
examples (Priory at Silverstone another good one) where you actually
have to compromise the exit of the corner in order to keep the car on
the track because it feels like you're hitting a pothole when you
drive over the polygonal seam in the middle of the track.
The physics in the v8 mod I reckon aren't that bad, it's more the way
the engine works that is the problem imho. Bathurst is really awful
for that, particularly because the entire mountain section is full of
polygon edges where the car skips off the ground. There's one exiting
the pits too that caught me off guard my first go in an f1 car.
