Just picked up the Guillemot wheel.  Works fine with Colin McRae.  But I
can't get it to work with Official F1.  The moment I select the wheel the
game crashes, pushing me back out to Windows.  Any suggestions?

Furthermore, with F12K, the moment I crash into a wall or hit anything, the
same thing occurs.  Game crashes, and I'm out to Windows.

Thanks,

Rochester

It's supposed to be a driver problem (try searching deja.com). I also
don't have a problem. Which drivers did you install?

Dennis.

If you use the drivers that come on the CD you got with the wheel and don't
use v1.23 you'll cure the F12K problem.
If you remove the 1.23 drivers and install the originals on top, remember to
say 'yes' to all prompts about overwriting files.

Thanks Iain.  Did that.  F12K no longer crashes.  Perhaps Guillemot will be
coming out with a new patch.

I still have a problem with Official F1 however.  It either crashes when I
select a controller, or it scrolls madly through the menus at start up in a
continous loop.

My specs are: PIII 450, 256 Megs Ram, latest Direct X drivers, Banshee with
latest reference drivers, Win98, Sound Blaster 16 PnP, ASUS 440 BX
motherboard, USB connection for the wheel.

Thanks,

Rochester

To be honest, I would dump OF1R - it really is not worth the hard disk
space!
