What's the best rally game out there? I mean a sim, not an arcade rally game

It's gotta be Network Q RAC Rally - the only rally game approaching a
simulation. Make sure you don't get its predecessor (called Europress
RAC Rally I think).

If you can't get it where you are I suggest you try mail order from a
UK company with your credit card. Any UK games mag has plenty of ads
from companies who will do this.

Hello,

Where can we find any info on that game : company, web site...?

Thanx!

The game is by Europress :  www.europress.co.uk

There is a demo available - but it's a hefty 18 Meg.
The demo was on the cover CD of PC Zone magazine some months back.
The game had very good reviews in the UK *** press.

About the game :

PLUS
- Excellent graphics
- Codriver shouts directions (easy right, medium left etc)
- Good frame rate in hi-res on P90 and up
- In depth simulation of the real event

MINUS
- Racing against the clock rather than wheel to wheel (but that's like
a real rally)
- Probably impossible to obtain in Canada or US

If you're a serious rally fan you'll probably find Network Q hits your
G spot.

I'll let you know if I find an FTP or WWW site with the demo.

Europress' website:    http://www.europress.co.uk/
They have online ordering; the site also lists phone numbers for
contacting the company.  Definitely worth a try! Makes the Sega PC
version of "Rally" look like a good demo -- it would be really neat when
completed!
Note: a 1994 copyrighted version of Europress's "Network Q RAC Rally" is
available out there, too. It has 35(?!!) stages (haven't seen loaded)
but probably is not as well developed as 1996 copyright edition (28
stages). It's (the '94) also identified as "Rally Authentic Simulation"
which still has some support downloads available from europress' support
page. Demo download of the '96 is again available (it says) from
download page.
Another demo (Australian developer - "Rally 1 Championship") is availble
from:  wwww.silverlightning.com. Don't know when their international
issue will be available, but it looks good (for a rally sim). Various
stages simulate general conditions of various World Rally Championship
venues. Could be good....
