SODA framerate question.

SODA framerate question.

by Jari Jokine » Tue, 15 Dec 1998 04:00:00

I can't get consistent 30 fps, when enabling high detail
vehicle models in graphics options.  That's when using
640x480 resolution and***pit view.  Other views work
smoothly.  Is this normal or is my system configured
poorly?

My system should be ideal for SODA:
Celeron 450a
128 MB ram
PCI soundcard
Hercules thriller 8 MB AGP (The Rendition logo shows at
SODA startup)

I think SODA is a good and a bit different sim.  Anyone
know a place for good setups?  I downloaded some setups,
but they made me only slower propably because I don't
know, which track are they made for.

I used to run that on a P200mmx and DSII so except at the start of races
it seemed pretty smooth.   Not sure what your system bottleneck is tho.
if it's jerky at the start, I guess even a monster system can't push
it...but if it stays
jerky all thru the race then you have a problem.
