Hello,

I downloaded the TOCA demo and I was a bit disappointed because the textures
on the cars and on the roadside objects are not smoothed. Is this a typical
Viper 330 problem in this game? I tried the patch, but it didn't work on the
demo. Does the official version have the same problem, or does the patch
solve it? If so, I am about to buy it.

(B.T.W. when will there be a TOCA 2?)

The game was actually made that way so it's not a Viper problem.
When Codemasters released the patch they also released some info about running the game
with bilinear filtered cars and trackside objects. After installing the patch start the
game with the following command line where "c:\games\toca" is the path of the game and
"d:" is the letter of your CD-rom drive (change if needed to your current install
settings):

C:\GAMES\TOCA\tourcars.exe C:\GAMES\TOCA D: 0 BILINEAR_CARS

Now the game will run with filtered cars and trackside objects.
This works with the official version (not the demo) if it is patched!
Enjoy!

Btw, are there any TOCA players out there interested in internet racing?

Hello,
I have a STB v128 which is an nvidia also like the Viper and it does
display better with the regular game with the patch. Part of the patch was
improved Nvidia support. This game is great, probably the most fun to play
of any of the racing sims I have played. I found the Nvidia seems to be a
little faster than the Monster 3d anjd seems to have better textures but a
little less clarity in TOCA.
