I cant start Nascar2 by the Rendition version or the regular version.
It worked earlier, but now it wont even start at all.....just comes up
with a kernal program illegal operation, and sometimes restarts the
computer. All my other games work. I tried Re-installing twice, but
nothing makes it work. Please help if ya can

I used to get that problem when I had a Rendition card. I solved it by
running in DOS instead of Win95. Have you tried that? I think you type
ren-dma at the N2 prompt.(or something like that) There should be a yellow
insert sheet that came with the game that tells how to do this.

Try changing some of the Memory settings in the Properties for your pif
that you start N2 with.
I have had good luck with the following:
Conventional Memory all set to Auto and Protected unchecked
Expanded (EMS) Memory set to None
Extended (XMS) Memory set to None
MS-DOS Protected-mode (DPMI) Memory set to 16384
