TM Pro Digital 2--now what did I do?

by Dave Henri » Sun, 17 Jun 2001 14:41:51

  I have re-installed windows...and re-installed the TM Thrustmapper
software for the Pro Digital 2 wheel.  It looks like it's running fine.
But....I can't get the sims to recognize the split axis.  The Thrustmapper
shows the split but the control panel *** options only shows a two axis
setup.  AND...the wheel/pedal combo is shown on device #2 and I cannot get
it assigned to device #1.  Even tho windows shows the #1 slot to be empty,
when I try and move the wheel from #2 to #1 I get an error message which
says the #1 space is occupied.
No other joysticks or wheels are connected at this time.  although I do
have some Logitech drivers on the system, they are not active and the TM
wheel worked fine before I messed with everything.
I beleive I have the latest TM thrustmapper utility..v1.33 and the small
file that 'supposedly' fixes the autolauncher....

Boot into Safe Mode and see if your previous wheel is still listed in Device
Mgr. I had a similar problem about a year ago (wheel not shown on device
1)and that turned out to be the problem.

I found it after sleeping on the problem...I just had to remove the
usb plug...reboot, and reinstall the usb plug from the wheel. Then
everything got assigned to the proper place and started working.  My ISP
is giving me fits tho...I am going nuts trying to iron out the
bugs...thanks for the help.
