Good Louden lap times in GPL??

by John Bod » Fri, 11 Jun 1999 04:00:00

As a dedicated oval nut, I'm REALLY enjoying the Louden conversion in
GPL.  I'm turning consistend 33-to-34 second lap times using the
Cooper/Coventry (my best is 0:33:35), but I was wondering what
everybody else was doing.  "Graham Hill" is turning 0:30:xx lap times,
but I was wondering what other mortals (humans) like myself were
achieveing.

Good Louden lap times in GPL??

Well im not the best out there but im the best Ive turned is a 30.61 in the
Eagle.  The real hotshoes are getting into the 29.5 range now from what Ive
seen.  Id say a reasonable time in racing conditions would be around
31-31.2sec.  I can run with the AI (except maybe the top 3) in the race if i
keep in this range.  Qualifying is just beyond me at this point....even at
Monza (where ive turned close to 1000 laps now and STILL can only manage a
1:30.23 with my Eagle!!!!)  Oh well....im an oval man myself too anyway...

Just a side note...i cant get Homestead and Phoenix to convert and work...i got
Loudon and Hickory to work but these other two lock up my computer...should i
try converting again??  E-mail me if you cant help me with this.

I only tried this circuit a few times, and managed a time of 00:31:30
(in the Eagle) which I believe is not all that fast compared to the really
fast guys?
