I've run into the bug where, when starting a new championship season, it
doesn't display the first race correctly. Short of re-installing OR
hex-editing, what else can I do?

From the main menu go to Quick Race. In the Race options screen change
the Number of Drivers to 39 (It is probably at 40). Return to the main
menu. Enter your champiomship mode. Everything should work fine.
