I have the Indy/Brickyard for N2 and applied all of the available graphic
updates to it.  I experienced the following...

1) Grass texture was not smooth
2) Asphalt seemed to clash with other graphics
3) Wall graphics appeared awkward

Experimenting with the DAT file and mixing in some graphics from other
tracks allowed me to really clean up the INDY.DAT file.  If anyone wants a
copy of the one I am using, just e-mail me.  Just make a backup of your
current DAT file in case you don't like mine.

Q.  If a policeman pulls you over and asks if you have *** or firearms
in your vehicle and you answer "yes", then after searching the car he
cannot find anything....do you still get arrested for possession?

No.  You get arrested for giving false information to a police officer.

False information?  What if the gun is in your other vehicle.  :)

At that point the policeman couldn't care less about what was in
your other vehicle and would arrest you for giving false information.

If the officer asked if you had *** in the vehicle and you stated
"yes", then that is all that is required to validate a search.  At that
point he has reason to believe there are *** in the vehicle.  If no
*** were found he CAN'T cite you for possession, but he CAN cite you
for giving false information.  You just flat-out LIED to him.  Same goes
if you lie about your name, address, etc.  If I tell the police that
you're carrying *** and you turn out to be clean, I can be arrested
for giving false information to a police officer IF they can prove that
I knew you were clean all along.  So how does the police officer know
you were lying??  He doesn't, but since you are the one driving and are
responsible for the vehicle you should be aware of the contents.  So, he
writes the citation and you go to court.  Don't believe me??? Try it
sometime.

My point is the gun is in fact in your car.  Just not the car you are
driving at the moment.
Therefore the information is not false.  Had the question said "THIS
vehicle" then it's a different question.

People need to understand the law in a courtroom is alot different from
Right vs Wrong in the "real" world.

True to form for this NG, so what have I learned about an auto/sim from
this enlightening and informative thread???

>>> False information?  What if the gun is in your other vehicle.  :)

As for the gun, In Arizona, your allowed to have a loaded firearm in
the car anyway (except maybe Phoenix... don't know about that
cesspool), If it's concealed, it must be in a place for cargo like,
say... the glove box. I think most officers prefer that you notify
them that there is a gun in the glove box before you reach in
there for the registration<G>

As for the ***, Why bother arresting the dork. Just impound his
car based on the information he provided and strip the sucker! Let
him walk home too!!

Sorry to perpetuate this off topic thread...

You have learned that if you get pulled over by a Simulated Police
Officer and asked that question and you don't have anything illegal in the
simulated car and you say that you do then you will experience a simulated
arrest and be place in a simulated jail to await a simulated trial.  Unless
you can get a simulated lawyer to get you out on simulated bail that is.
