I wish I *had* collected entry fees to these races...  I might be able

He doesn't, actually. The race is at 2pm British Summer Time, not 2pm GMT.

GMT is unaffected by daylight saving time, ergo it's now only 4 hours ahead
of EDT.

Race is 9am EDT, (1pm GMT), 2pm BST, 3pm CEST.
