Can somebody tell me how to get rid of the yellow crane at the end of
the pit lane in N3 Daytona. I tried deleting the 3do amd mip file in
daytona.pck (Yes, I altered the file count), but that didn't work.

Why would you want to?  IMO, that's what makes it Daytona.

Well, you didn't mention that!

Did you delete the actual 3do and mip files too?  Your message is vague on that point.

Using 3do edit, the crane is the only 3do file that can't be changed or
disappeared. Updating the crane.3do file after loading it into 3doedit,
whether I change anything on it or not, crashes 3doedit. This crash does
not happen with any other 3do file. Any ideas anybody.

I speculate It's because it's the only 3do that actually goes over the track
itself.  There must be something special with that polygonal area, since I
doubt the old game engine could do that easily like in GPL.

Wouldnt it be cool to get airborne and crash into it. :)
Of course it would mean losing the race.....
