NASCAR SVGA

Please excuse my ignorance, but...

I read here recently about (I think) passing SVGA as a parameter to NASCAR to
run, obviously, in SVGA mode.  However, I get an error to the effect that my
computer can't run in that mode.

I have a P90 with 16 meg of RAM, an ATI Graphics Ultra+ video card and a
Mitsibushi Diamond Pro 17 inch monitor.

Is there a device driver of some sort that I need to run in SVGA?  When I
run the Mach 32 video setup program I see an option to install a VESA
driver but nowhere do I see anything about SVGA.

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Thanks.

And thanks for the tip about how to remove the restrictor plate in the
"track".txt file.  It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Get the
hell out of my way, I'm a coming through.

NASCAR SVGA

{my own questions deleted}

CD-ROM.

I was finally able to get SVGA working ok.  I installed the Mach 32 VESA
driver, started NASCAR with -h and voila.  What a difference.

Now I have to fiddle with frame rates, what details to enable, etc. to
smooth things out.  Not to mention new setups to go with removing the
restrictor plate.  So much for getting any work done this weekend. :)

Thanks to all who helped.
