Julian;
I know you are upset at some people because you feel that they are
twisting your words, but now You are twisting words. Who told you this?

Nobody who was on the closed beta receives anything more than those who
are on the open beta now.  We're all on the same level.  We get releases
or fixes or anything else you want to call them just like everyone else
does.  When we log onto the Hawaii system, we get it Auto DL'ed to us or
they are in the file area.  We don't get anything else/more than what
anyone else who chooses to be on the system gets.

Oh so now you're saying that if a guy puts in his time and money to
help test and tune the system, he should not get to partake in the final
product?
Try this one on for size.  Mark Martin tested out at the new Texas
Speedway a couple of weeks back.  He's one of the few WC drivers to be
on that track.  By your logic, he should now not be allowed to race
there in April.
So what your saying is that if I should be so lucky as to get to test
the NRL prototype, if indeed there should be one, then it's no more MP
racing for Mark?
Congratulations Julian, you've just managed to***me off.

Contrary to your belief, Julian, some guy in a black car doesn't show
up at our houses with weekly X-Files. Scully! There's Not Anything Up
There! You know what the bugs are by being on the system.  You get in a
race, a bug occurs, you tell somebody at papy, they fix it.  My God!
You'd think it was an open beta test or something!

As much as you do.  They read this group.  I have EMail addresses (The
same ones you'll find on the opening screens of Hawaii and in here).  If
I lived in Mass. I might even stop by the shop as I'm sure you could
(please make an appointment though... I would).
Julian, you're digging for something that's just not there.

Okay now. Since you all, the beta testers of Hawaii, say that there is a "level"
playing field, then answer me this...

Why do you get the releases or so called, "fixes" before everyone else? Like a
couple or months ahead of everyone. Now that's an advantage in itself.

If you get the software for NRL in advance.. I don't think you should be apart
of NRL...

Now who is playing level or fair??

You all know of all the bugs on MP.. You have close contact with the Papy boyz..

Julian, your dead wrong! None of the original beta's get any fixes before anyone
else. You think we had a big advantage when they went open beta? Well guess what
we got a brand new multi the same as the new guys! And the physics models were
changed on a bunch of tracks! Gee, all my hard worked setings gone down the drain!
At Bristol my numbers were as good as anybodies online before they went open
beta and Rhawn and I had a few memorable duels by ourselves because few others
could run with us! But they made it a whole lot stickier in the new multi and
my old setup was worthless! Now, everybody it seems can run 134-35's.
Most of the bugs on line now, didn't occur when we had smaller numbers racing
because the system wasn't being pushed to the max, like it is now! So, again
we found out the same time as you! Maybe, you would have liked all the bugs we
had to put up with when it first started! Guys, today race a whole lot more than
we used to. Plus, we had very little experience racing big fields, as the only
nights enough were online were Tuesday nights. I got more races in the first 2 weeks
it went open than in the first 4 months combined!
We reported our bugs to Papy and they looked  at them and decided if they were
valid. We got very little feedback unless there was a specific question. In fact
I would lay odds that most original betas have never spoken to Papy people, other
than by fax or e-mail and you can do that as well!

Don't know who is feeding you this but it is incorrect at least from my perspective!

Pete

P.S. The biggest difference between today and the early days was the patience, respect
and sportsmanship! Win at any cost seems to have replaced that "poor attitude".
Hmmm.. come to think of it maybe we did have an advantage it was more enjoyable!

Julian,

I am now convinced without a doubt that you are speaking for someone else.
Maybe you really believe what they are telling you, I'm not sure.
Unfortunately they are pointing you down the wrong path.  Wake up man,
before it's too late.  The only advantage I have is dedication.  If your
not as good as someone else in the upcoming NRL, face it like a man.  Go
back and practice but don't try and make yourself feel better by thinking
some have an advantage.  What a waste of time.  Sounds like you won't be on
the NRL because of these beliefs, so good luck wherever you race.

Give it up Julian. Nothing justifies cheating. Hawaii is a test
package if I'm not mistaken. IF your not following the rules then your
not being fair to yourself or anyone else. It doesn't matter what
anyone else does.

Nobody outside of Papyrus gets "fixes" or updates to Hawaii before
they are released publicly.

Yes, before we released Hawaii publicly back in April of this year,
there was a closed beta period where a few hundred people
participated.  However, since we went public, no "private"
fixes/pathces/enhancements have been privately released.

I think you have some bad data, Julian.
