I have a problem with v2.1 of the 97 carset.(p97cs21.zip)  I can seem to
install the carset OK, get the message at the end of install saying it
was successful etc.  But when I go to run the game I get the first
screen saying
QUICKRACE
MAIN MENU

When I click on the MAIN MENU button I get a very colorful flickering
screen and then it either goes back to Win95, if I am running it from
there, or it locks up if I am running it from DOS.

I have tried it from a clean install of GP2, run once of course, and
from other previously moderfied GP2's.  Just can't get it to work.  Am I
doing anything wrong??  I got the earlier version v2.0 to work, but only
from a clean GP2 install.

You need to delete/rename your f1gstate.sav file in your gp2 directory,
you might also need to do the same with the f1system.dat file. I had the
same problem and this fixed it. You'll need to set your options again
in gp2 though.
