NFS or SE track loading

by J. Perki » Sun, 21 Nov 2004 22:07:36

Anybody remember this game? I've been coding my own racesim as a
little side project, and thought it would be fun to load up some of
those old NFS tracks that I spent so much time on in college. I found
Denis Auroux format guide and dug my old NFS SE disk out of the
ba***t. I've managed to pull the vertex data out of the .tri file,
but the numbers don't seem to be making any sense, so I am clearly
doing something wrong. I know this is asking a lot but...does anyone
have any code lying around that can load up one of the these ancient
tracks? Or has anyone done this in the past who might be able to see
what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be very much appreciated.

After figuring out the crazy formats from GPL, this one ought to be
easy...go figure.

Thanks,
Jason
