stop ai cars improving - gpl ?

How do i stop the ai cars from getting faster as my times improve in gpl. Is
it possible to change the driver file to read only ? Will this alone stop ai
improvement or do i need to do something else ? I've installed a carset
using gplseason but although the cars seem to be very different (in speed
terms) on the graphs, the lap times in races seem too similar. Please help.

Check out Alison Hine's page - she has a link to an AI tweaker that allows
you to adjust parameters manually.

Open  GPL_AI.INI and scroll down till you find NPT_OVERRIDE.
Then set this anywhere from 0.1 to 1.0.
If you set it to 1.0 you get the AI cars driving at their 100%.

If you go into your play directory, and make player.sts read-only, the AI will
not improve as you do.
