N2- Paintshop Corrupted Pallette Problem

by Thomas Malo » Fri, 05 Dec 1997 04:00:00

I've applied Ver 1.03 patch and used the pallette.exe patch, yet after
painting an exported car's file in Paint Shop Pro (PSP), putting the saved
file back into the N2 directory and using the "X" naming convention to import,
I still get a "Corrupted Pallette" error message preventing import of that car.

Any ideas?  Does it have to do with PSP version number? The PSP files are
being saved as 320 x 200, 256 color, PCX.  Something I'm doing or not doing or
is it the program?

Thanks for any help.

In PaintShop Pro. When you save .pcx file. You must choose "sub-type" as
"version 5".
Of course, You must use pallet it can be used by Nascar2.

If you use correct pallet, you can salvage your car by cutting out car
picture
by pink flame. and past it to a new workable .pcx file.
