After I applied the 3dfx patch when I get a strobe effect between two
screens. Any ideas how to fix this?

Make sure you don't have the  option to force triple color buffering checked
in your VooDoo2 display settings

It is not checked and I'm using the latest drivers from the 3dfx site.
