I've been away from GPL for a couple of months, and the other day I tried to
logon to SpyBoy for  a decent race - to no avail.

So I had to go for the WinVroc, Geeeeeeze I've been trying ever since....it
either locks up or refuses me to connect.....YES I got the latest patch fot
GPL.

I dunno -but I don't understand why SpyBoy had to go, as it worked
flawlessly EVERTIME, and this piece of sh-t never works......(WinVroc) -
extremely slopy programming .....Yes, I do Win/NT programming for a
living....

Regards, Magnus.

My experience with WinVROC has been excellent - compared with the software
*** companies include with their products for multiplayer it seems a
professional job to me.

On the contrary I applaud the efforts that have been put into WinVROC.

There is an ini file you may need (vroc.ini) - I don't know if this may be
your problem. Try the links via the help in WinVROC.

Eh?
WINVROC is the coolest thing for GPL!!!
I can't say how much I am in debt to it's creators....

Did the thought that it might be your system instead of the program cross
your mind?

IF WinVROC indeed was such a piece of ***like you claim it to be wouldn't
there be more complaints in here?

'mister Win/NT programmer who can't even get his own pc 'programmed'
properly'....

Well. Mr Sjon, as I haven't touched the 'puter since I last used the
SpyBoy - I'm pretty confident that if that software worked alright on MY
'puter WHY shouldn't this one do it?

In the words of Amarillo Slim, "Winners talk, losers walk".  Nobody
else has a beef with WinVROC and use the hell out of it.  Talk is
cheap, so if you're such a hot-rod code jockey, then write something
better.   I understand there's a GPaL revival project afoot.  You'd be
appreciated there, I am certain...

BTW - I never knew you could program an OPERATING SYSTEM.  I've had to
use various programming language compilers over the past twenty five
years.  Silly me...

Mine was just the opposite.  I could never get SpyBoy to work, but WinVROC
works fine.  Try checking the paths to the GPL program in options, and download
the .ini file from vroc.net

quick 'ping' of reality for you, winvroc is gsb! they've only changed the
name, and if you're having all the problems you say you are, it is YOUR
problem! I've heard noone else reporting these problems, go to www.vroc.net
and use your browser to join races then!
