I was somewhat dissapointed with both this and the NFS3 demo,
although I will probably end up buying both eventually.  The graphics
look pretty nice in this one, but I think I'm somewhat underwhelmed.
There is more detail and all than in MR1, but it almost seems like more
is less  here.  The worst thing is the performance......I hope they get
this more optimised before the final game is released.  I've tried this

Framerates aren't good at all, I don't know what they are, but very
choppy and unplayable.
On my 333 K6-2, it's passable.  Once again I don't know what the
framerates are, maybe in the twenties.  I guess I've gotten spoiled by
most of my games which usually run at 50-60 fps or better.  I just hope
they can get this all optimised better than this - the original was such
a screamer even on lower-end computers.  Maybe even DX6 will give stuff
like this a big boost.
Well, the gameplay in it didn't e*** me that much either, but if
the framerates get a bit smoother that could might make some difference
to me.  I like the way the fog looks better than the nighttime riding -
the night looks hokey to me in this game.
These are just my thoughts, that's all.  I'm not trying to trash
either this or NFS3 and I'll probably eventually buy them - but as large
and demanding as this software is getting - I just wish my e***ment
for these two was as much as my anticipation had been.

70% complete pre-alpha, what do you expect?

I think you may have a driver problem.  On my K6 225 it screams.  Framerates
are smooooth.

Get yourself a new CPU, I guess... I got a PII 266, Monster 3D II 8Mb,
Windows 98, and the demo SCREAMS on my screen. Mouse is usable, joystick
too... I don't know if a pre-alpha can be any better than that. I am about
to make a reservation on this one!

I will try it on my PII 400 with a lousy S3 Virge board, just for the sake
of it. I wish I could measure the framerate...
