IRC2 Grip Problems

IRC2 Grip Problems

by Marcos Balcell » Fri, 07 Jun 1996 04:00:00

When I first installed IRC2, I couldn't drive the tracks very well
because the tires barely gripped the track.  It felt like I was driving
NASCAR.  The problem inproved when I installed the UNIVBE driver.  Is
there something else I can do to improve this problem?

ICR2 represents racing when the downforce is less that was allowed in the
season ICR1 models, so there is less traction, but it shouldn't be
ridiculous.

When I tried to run ICR2 on my 486/66 under high rez, all detail off, I
had a similar problem.  When I upgraded to my P6 the problem went away.
Hopefully, you don't need to go that far, but I think a processor pushed
too hard might not do the traction properly.  Also, there is a traction
bug on one or more of the ovals.  Perhaps an oval racer can offer more info.
