IRC2/Mac - problem with Gravis Mousestick II

by Tim Axelr » Thu, 22 Aug 1996 04:00:00

I've just purchased IRC2 for the Mac PowerPC.  I'm unable to get it
to recognize my Gravis Mousestick II joystick - and controlling the
car without a joystick seems nearly impossible!  Sierra told me via
email that there is a patch to fix this on their web site - but I sure
don't find it.

Does anyone know where to find the patch, or have any other way around
this problem?

Thanks,

Tim Axelrod

I too have looked for "the patch" but to no avail. I am not doubting
you, but are you certain that the Sierra person understood that you were
talking about the Mac version? I ask this because I see there are
patches available for the DOS and Win95 versions.

Yup - Bob at Sierra Tech told me the name of the patch is MACICR11, and
his email included all the information I had submitted about my Mac's
configuration.

Unfortunately, he hasn't replied to my followup email about the precise
location of the patch :-)

Tim.

I couldn't get my Gravis Mousestick to work until I removed my Kensington
TurboMouse and it's software.
Check for control panel and extension conflicts.
