Orchid Righteous 3dfx in a P233mmx/96MB

TOCA plays real well on this combo, graphics a little more fluid than
they were on the same 3d card in the P166/64MB that I just upgraded from.

Cheers, nick

I have a P133/32MB and I'm planning to install a Righteous 2 3dfx. Does anyone
have any comments on how well this will work ?

I use Flash3D 3dfx card, car bi-linear filtering on, smooth as silk.

3dfx card, (Orchid Righteous)
AMD K6 200MHz overclocked to 225 MHz, 32 MB
Very smooth, but there seems no way to actually check framerates
TOCA uses direct 3D, not native 3dfx or rendition verite, which degrades
performance compared to what these 3d chipsets are really capable of (see
F1RS)

Andrew...it will work okay, but you may have to turn some detail off
for a nice smooth framerate.  I've run it with full detail on my 3Dfx
P133 64Mb and it's better than CPR (poor example), but it's not perfect.

I am using a Maxigamer 4Mb 3Dfx card, on my K6 200 (clocked to 225)
with 64Mb SDram, and TOCA flies along nicely.

I have both a 3DFX card and an AGP nVidia Riva board.  I use the Riva
for TOCA because its faster.  There is no native 3DFX support in TOCA,
its just D3D, so it runs better on the Riva.

TOCA is playable in my old P133 48MB + Voodoo Rush system but not smooth.
Recently upgraded to PII 266 with same display card. It flies now.

Hi Rob

I have a P166mmx 32 Meg EDO Ram with a Virge 3D video card.
Toca ran like crap, completely hopeless, approx 6-8 frames
per sec. So I deleted the demo and will wait till I can get a
3DFX,  which won't be until Nascar 3 is available.

Cheers
 Nigel

Oh yeah there is people...

Dell Pentium II 266mhz + STB Velocity 128 AGP. Over 30fps everywhere with
everything on. Superb graphics, equal to the 3dfx version of TOCA.  Very
good arcade game. Like Burnout !
