Has anyone noticed any graphics glitches with 3dfx (Voodoo II)
graphics of NR1999 Darlington?  The pit walls and tracks sidewalls
have a shimmering effect.

The problem is with 3dfx only as the software version is clean.  I
thought the .DAT file was corrupted so I copied from the CD but the
glitch did not go away.  After racing about 20 minutes the graphics
had streaks all over the track.

Anyone have any idea how this can be fixed.

TIA

Another problem with the Darlington graphics on N99:  where the hell is the
"Darlington Stripe"?!  <g>  They had it on N2, so where is it now?

BTW, I made a special version of my Ford just for Darlington, it's got scrapes
all over the right side of the car and donuts on the doors.  Now there's no
Darlington Stripe to make it look like I did hit the wall!  =(

Every time I try to join a race on VROC GPL it times out, yet other people
are able to join my races.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

By any chance are you running an overclocked CPU or V2 board?  The only
time I have seen streaks on the track after 20 laps or so was when my
system was overheating somewhat.  Your V2 board won't generate maximum
heat until you're using it in a 3Dfx enabled game.  If you have a
system/CPU temp monitor, when the streaks appear check the temps and
compare them to when the system has not been using the 3Dfx board for an
hour or so.  If you see a marked difference, you may have found your
problem.  Just my 2 cents worth.

Can you provide us with some information on how you are connected to the
internet?  Also is it VROC that times out our is it GPL when you attempt
to join?

I am connected through my isp using a 56k modem. It's GPL that seems
to time out.It goes like this in the connection status screen:
Opening channel.
Opening Network Device.
Timed out opening communications channel. (After about 5 secs)
Closing channel.

No I run at the default clock setting.

On the Storm MotorGroup mailing list other players have experienced
the same problem with the Monster 3D II.

Are you first clicking on the IP address on the right side for the race
you want to join (provided by VROC)?  It sounds as if you are attempting
to join the previous IP address's race (the box on the left).  Make sure
that the IP address in both boxes match.
