But as far as I know RT doesn't model any type of centre differential,
so you have a 50:50 power distribution... It isn't a "real" awd then,

No, but many people without LSDs lock their differentials anyway. AWD rally
cars can be a bit unpredictable if not locked sometimes (for example, on a
hairpin, you jam on the gas, the rear wheels spin really fast so the back
end comes around, and then the viscous cupling kicks in and then all the
power goes to the front) Amazingly, it even models that handbrake correctly
with 4WD with a locked diff. All 4 wheels lock up!

I've seen that before - that is a GREAT video!  Those people taking pictures
are crazy, though...  Some are standing between the car and the edge of the
mountain!
