DOES GPL USE DMA ON RENDITION

I have'nt heard anybody mention if GPL will use dma or not . Rendition card
owners could get even better performance with a -dma or -4 switch when we
get the AI cars on the track with us . Will they use dma in the full
version  ? NASREND & RENDDMA are night & day on my machine .

DOES GPL USE DMA ON RENDITION

I'd be more than willing to bet that DMA is currently being used in
the demo.  I think the only reason NASCAR and ICR provided a non-dma
executable was for compatability with older motherboards and BIOSes
that did not support DMA correctly.  Practically every board in use
today (P133 and above) should support it.  Also, it's very possible
that the latest Rredline code can detect whether or not DMA is
supported and enable or disable it automatically to get the best
performance.
