Redention & ICR2

Redention & ICR2

I just recently purchased a Intergraph 3D card. I'm having a problem,
I'd like to find an answer to. First I have a P133 16 meg RAM.. The
problem is when I run ICR2 in the INDYFAST mode. After about a minute or
two, my system locks up. I can still hear the engine reving up very high
pitched. But I have to reboot to get out of ICR2. I've tried this with
both the DMADIAG progam and without. It locks up either way. I'm
starting to become very disatisfied with the Intergraph video card. Also
I use Quikmenu out side of Win95, but the colors are way off. The scrren
looks as if I need the 3D glasses to see it. The Quikmeun works fine if
I go to a DOS session from WIN95. I posted a message to InterGraph, but
they had no solution. Anyone else out there with this problem?

Bob.... Disgrunted customer!!!

I doubt it is your video board, there seems to be a conflict with your system
somewhere, I have an Intergraph, without any problems.

I have had no real problems with ICR2/Reactor, except for some pixel
fuzz on what I think is an intro screen.

I assume you've tried a minimal boot configuration, with only
essential stuff in your autoexec and config files? I don't know what
Quikmenu is but alarm bells are ringing... For instance, the Univbe
driver that comes with the standard ICR2 doesn't like the Reactor at
all (of course, it's not needed anyway since the Verite is VESA 2.0
compliant).

Also, try turning down or off any performance tweaks in your BIOS.

And finally, try swapping your memory simms around. You might have a
bad bit that ICR2 happens to run across (slim possibility, but...)

(snip)

Now that's customer service!

Steering a disgruntled customer in the right direction.  I've been very happy
with Intergraph.  Their customer support is very good.

I had no problems even with my elcheapo video cards I've had in the
past. WIN95 and all works fine. Until I boot up in DOS . Then forget it!
