N2 Bug Workaround?

N2 Bug Workaround?

Hi All...

I'm sure we've all had the yellow flag AI bug bite us in N2 at one time
or another. You know, the one where there's cars tooling along at about
10-15 MPH LESS than the pace speed.  Well, I may have figured out a very
non-professional "work-around".  Unprofessional as it may be, in a case
where you've got a good race going, and then have the infamous AI/Yellow
Flag bug rear it's ugly head... well, if it works it works, right?

Anyway, I got bit by the AI/Yellow Flag bug, and in frustration, I eased
up to the bumper of the slow car in front of me... and started to push
him. Lo and behold... he took off!  Yep... he took off and caught up
with the next "slow batch".  At this point, I dipped to the inside...
and passed the entire string of "stragglers".  At that... they all "woke
up"... and away they went!  Soon, they had caught up with the correctly
pacing field and fell in behind.  Estatic, I did likewise!  I don't know
if this will work everytime (bug hasn't bit since)... but it did then!
(Of course, you do realize you WILL have to be back in your order BEFORE
the green falls, right?)  Anyway... what do you think?  Give it a try
and see what happens.  Let the rest of us know if it works in your
situation as well.  Again, not very "realistic"... but it may give us a
"work-around" to save a race order that was going well.

God Bless,

Andre

Imtimadtor is there getting a whopper.

The cop was NOT amused.
