Really? The final version must be a hell of a lot better than the demo then,
I decided not to buy F1RS after downloading and running the demo - I liked
F12000 better.

You seem to be saying that to get a proper patch to fix the issues with N4
we will have to buy an expansion pack? Does anyone else have a problem with
that besides me? I love N4 for its physics and driving model, but the AI is
seriously hosed and needs to be fixed(ya I know that's no news flash or
anything). To quote the back of the box: "Unparalleled AI: Smart Opponents
for Fierce Competition" - inside the front cover "True-to-life AI, The
competition is tough when you are up agains NASCAR pros....." I am totally
understanding that this title was rushed to market and I am sure that Papy
is working on a patch, but if I have to pay another $30.00 to get what was
advertised on the box I for one will be really pissed off.

What Papyrus has been doing lately is using the patch process to get the
next title
up to snuff.  IF there are profound problems with N4 that Papyrus is
addressing, then it is clearly in their best interest patch the current
title and therefore save the programming
effort for whatever is coming next.

I seriously doubt that would be the case Patrick.

Well, to be honest I doubt it also but it seemed to be what ymenard was
implying. I guess I am a bit frustrated with N4 right now since it is so
close to being the best race-sim ever(IMHO) yet just about every race I run
is screwed up by the AI at the first caution period or wreck.

I think we all do, but Nascar seems to be the most profitable for
them.. :(
I'm not interested in Truck addons, but what I would really like is to
see some more road courses for N4.. Oval racing in N4 was fun for a
while but just doesn't do it for me. Racing on Sears or WG is
tremendous fun, but why does Nascar only have 2 road courses in it's
schedule??
Even fantasy tracks like Bullrun or Red Rock would be great for N4..

If you're talking about F1RC then you should start purchasing your
software elsewhere, because it's been available for close to a
month?

If you're not talking about F1RC then I have no clue what software
you're referring to. ;)

Cheers,
Rod.

Woops, then again you could be talking about N4. In fact it's
probably likely.

Silly me. ;)

Cheers,
Rod.

If you want road course then you should welcome a truck racing pack. The
truck series races a couple of other road courses besides what the Cup
series runs.

What would happen is even if the patch came out in a expansion pack (which I
doubt), they would still allow you to download the patch part of it for
free.

I'd expect it should be, F1RS is 3 years older than F1 2000.

Did it come out *before* or *after* GPL...? :)

Nice, which road tracks are they using?

> Nice, which road tracks are they using?

The CTS trucks ran at Portland (the same one as in CART) and the Glen in
2000, but this year there is no more road courses in the series.  I would
speculate that an expansion pack from Papyrus would be of last year's
schedule.  Last year's schedule is so much better then the bland schedule of
2001 (they eliminated all the fun short tracks).  It's a trend that will
kill NASCAR on the long run.
