If you are a member of TEN and the NROS, your Yamaha sound card joystick
port will probably not align properly making your car undrivable online.
Regardless of how your OPL -XX works fine with everything else People
will tell you to go buy a thrustmaster ACM card for your joystick or
wheel which will probably be the best solution.

Interesting coincidence that your system setup that worked fine
before the patch suddenly isn't good enough at about the same time
Sierra and thrustmaster joined forces with their drivers ed game .......
ooooppps i mean sim. Not too many developers take away compatability of
a product. As i'm sure u know, Papyrus is more or less part of Sierra.

If u have a Yamaha sound controler and are thinking of Joining TEN/NROS
i reccomend u wait until these problems r fixed or be prepared to pay
another 50$ for the ACM card.

I'm sure Thrustmaster is all upset at the potential revenue this could
bring them.  I'm sure TEN will rush to fix it !

Holy cow, another person who sounds just like me.

:)---  I can't imagine that any vendor would sell a product that doesn't
work just so you could buy something else to fix the trouble.

Anyone remember the days when a TM Gamecard was $29.00.  Must be the only
computer product in the world that costs more to make today than it did 3
years ago!!

I have the Yamaha card and had to buy the ACM card. before the update
everything was fine but I heard numerous people complaining about there
calibration trouble. The update seemed to have fixed most everyone's
calibration trouble, but hurt the owners of the Yamaha card. I feel it is
unfortunate that they released a bug that cost us $40. but  whets best for
all of us,is not always whats best for one person. So quit complaining about
the $40. and if you want to race buy the card. There are so many people out
there spending allot more just to get a stable connection.I feel fortunate
that my only problem was the game port.

Kevin, i think your being too nice to TEN as a consumer, Buisness has to
learn that their livelihood is customer driven (read demmings principles
of management) not management driven. Its interesting to see the
parallels between TEN and NROS and microsoft. We have all been
conditioned to think if it's broken it's my problem and i have to pay to
fix it. If you bought a new car would you have the same opinion ?
Bottom line is you pay for a service, you should expect service.

If you ever saw the difference that a rentidion chipset (Total 3D, Reactor, Screamin 3D) made to Nascar 2..................
Phil
 Is NASCAR 2......2D or 3D ?

It seems to be when you combine Yamaha cards with HP computers. thats when
the trouble starts.
